Fender Showmaster Scorpion
A very cool guitar from Fender's recent past! This one is a bit unique and decidedly a shredder, with a flat fretboard radius, slimmer C profile neck, jumbo frets, and a nice sounding set of 'buckers. It looks the part as well, with an appealing bound body and neck, as well as the signature 12th fret Scorpion inlay.
It has a lightweight contoured basswood body, which is resonant and comfortable. The sting thru tailpiece with adjustable bridge allows for nice sustain, as well as superior tuning stability. The pickups are wired with a 5 way switch, which give you an array of tonal possibilities.
Cosmetically it has some signs of wear to include finish swirling and pick strum marks (which don't show up very well in the photos), as well as a few misc dings and scratches, however no major gouges through the poly finish. The electronics function as they should, and it is all set to go home!
It has been cleaned and setup with D'Addario 10-46 XL's, yielding a nice low string height of around 5/64" at the 12th fret. This one is a very speedy player, and is very slick in the hand.
