Gibson Les Paul Gothic Morte

Here's one you don't see every day! Even less common than the standard Gothic, the Morte was made exclusively in the 2011 model year, making it a bit unique and special! This example is an awesome player, and is a nice weight that is conducive to playing a lengthy show with - weighing a lofty 7lbs 8ozs!

This model has a few cool specs paired with the traditional Les Paul formula - it has a maple top under the finish, and the body is weight relieved (also improving resonance). The mahogany neck is the "Rounded 50s Studio" profile, which has a nice heft but isn't cumbersome - really a nice feel for those who prefer the chunkier 50's shape while still being speedy. The completely unmarked fretboard is very attractive, being crafted of African Obeche - an exotic, dark alternative to Ebony that is supposedly more sustainable. It is nice and silky under the fingers, and certainly helps tie together the blacked out look of the guitar. The pickups have been swapped out with a Hot Blues variant, replacing the quirky active system that came originally. The pickups sound great with a decent amount of output for a wide variety of genres, and wear great looking aged nickel covers. Finally black Grover tuners and a black Corian nut help with tuning stability.

This one is in nice/player grade shape overall,  with the thin satin nitro finish starting to wear a bit on edges and in the typical buckle rash area on the back - giving the guitar a nice "worn in" look and feel. There are some superficial nicks/scratches/etc throughout, however it is still quite presentable and will likely age into a nicely worn workhorse. The frets have plenty of life left, and the guitar is a blast to play. It has no structural issues, and is ready to hit the next stage!

It did not come in with a case, but will be packed with care for safe travel.
