Gibson SG Special
Up for grabs today is an absolute monster of a player - this 2005 SG has all the mojo with a nicely worn Ebony finish. This one definitely feels much like a Standard of the era, with a flatter neck profile that still has a bit of heft, and is very comfortable in the hand.
It has fairly standard Gibson specs of the time; 12" radius rosewood fretboard, tulip tuners, and 3 way switching with tone and volume controls for each pickup. The bridge has been swapped out for a nice looking unit with roller saddles, along with the knobs and poker chip exchanged for white replacements.
It comes to us in overall good shape, with some signs of use from over the years to include various scratches/dings, some buckle rash on the back, and some overall finish swirling. It looks nice on the stand, and has the vibe that a nicely worn in older SG should. This one really is a killer player, with low string height and ideal neck relief without any playability issues. The electronics function as they should, and the pickups sound quite nice in both positions.
Includes non original hardshell case.
