Ibanez Roadstar II
Up for grabs is a very cool 80's rocker from Ibanez - a precursor to the RG series, the RS530 features a 24 fret neck, sleek black finish w/red binding, and basswood body interestingly sporting a maple top. This one plays well and is certainly a cool piece from the prime era of Rock 'n' Roll.
It has the locking Ibanez Pro Rock'r tremolo, which is a bit similar in functionality to Fender's System III of the time. It works well setup to bend down only, achieving dive bombs with good tuning stability. The pickups have been upgraded to an active Fishman Fluence set, which sound excellent and pair well with coil splitting functionality of the pots.
Cosmetically it is in overall good shape for the age, with some miscellaneous dings, and a good amount of surface scratching/strum wear/buckle rash/etc in the clear coat as might be expected with an 80s rocker such as this. There is a bit of fret wear, however there is still a good amount of fret material left.
Includes non-original hardshell case and tremolo arm.
