Silvertone 1478 RSB

Check this one out! A very cool retro-inspired model from Silvertone, this guitar combines awesome vintage vibes with modern playabity. With a Mustang-esq 24.5" scale length, it's capable of some sweet jangly tones, and would be fantastic as a psych or surf rock machine! 

The body is mahogany with a maple top, and neck is maple with a C profile. The fretboard is rosewood with pearl block markers, and features attractive double binding. Sealed "vintage style" tuners provide vintage looks with modern smoothness, and the TOM style bridge allows easy adjustment. The pickups are pretty nifty - Silvertone reverse engineered the pickups in the original 1478, and wound the reissues to exact spec. It has a typical 3- way pickup selector, with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. A major improvement to the original is the tailpiece - found here is a smoothly functioning Bigsby, a welcome addition. 

This guitar has been setup with a fresh set of D'Addario 9.5-44's, a choice that compliments the scale length well. It plays well, and the electronics function as they should without any undue noise. Cosmetically it is in like new condition, with no cosmetic issues. It is all set to go to it's new home!
