Mad Waves Mad Player Generactive Digital Music Creator

Re-introducing the Mad Waves Mad Player! This lost gem from 2001 is a rare find. Some call it "a Game Boy for music." It's designers call it "generactive," which just means it automates musical tracks with basic input from the user. In the words of it's creator Alain Georges:

"The name Mad Player comes from the fact that the tracks are based on algorithms uniquely dependent on the music genre that a user picks, and at some point of experimentation it was decided just for fun to create a new music genre that would mix all the algorithms from all the styles. This could yield to some pretty wild results, sometimes creating songs that sounded as if they were composed by a madman. I thus called this genre the 'Mad' style, and quickly found the commercial name for the composing device: The Mad Player."

So if you're looking for inspiration look no further! Whether you want something "mad" or just want to jam along to a progression in your favorite genre, the Mad Player is the perfect musical companion.
